“Choosing The Right Realtor DOES Make a Difference”
Whether buying or selling, the most important decision is always choosing a professional consultant. With the average Realtor in California selling approximately 3.5 homes per year, the industry is full of inexperience. When inexperience is your guide, trouble will soon follow. Finding experience is often difficult: the size or quality of a postcard, a picture on a bus bench or a name on a market shopping cart is a very bad way to make your selection. That being said, the best way is to do your homework.
LOOK UP THE LICENSING INFO: This is very simple. Just go to http://dre.ca.gov/ and with basic information such as name or license number, you can check status.
TALK WITH RECENT CLIENTS: Ask for references with contact information.
PICK A WINNER: Choosing a Realtor is like choosing a surgeon to perform a delicate operation. If one does 3.5 per year, and one does 100 per year, the choice is plain.
SETUP A DETAILED INTERVIEW: When interviewing a Realtor make a list of questions to ask and don’t get caught up in a sales pitch. FOR A LIST OF SUGGESTED QUESTIONS, email me at list@thekirkseys.com.
